Asia Rose Simpson's Miss World 2026 rivals: Meet the Top 40 contenders
Filipino bet Asia Rose Simpson has already punched her ticket to the Miss World 2026 quarterfinals, but she won't be walking alone. The pageant's continental system has been filling up fast, and now we know many of the women who will join her in the Top 40 showdown this Saturday in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Simpson, who topped the Asia and Oceania group in the Head-to-Head challenge, was the first from her region to secure a spot. But as the pre-final fast-track challenges wrapped up, three more of her regional sisters have joined her in the continental Top 10.
Who else made the Asia and Oceania Top 10?
Host delegate Le Nguen Bao Ngoc of Vietnam earned her place by winning the region's Top Model Challenge. Indonesia's Audrey Bianca Callista took the Multimedia award, while Cambodia's Leakana In won the People's Choice online poll. All three will join Simpson in the quarterfinals.
Which European delegates advanced?
Germany's Julia Kuhnle was a double winner, taking both Head-to-Head and Multimedia. France's Indira Ampiot won Top Model, and Gibraltar's Julia Horne topped the People's Choice vote. England's Grace Richardson also secured a spot as the overall Talent Challenge winner.
What about the African and Americas groups?
Africa has four slots filled. South Africa's Romanda Hombir won Head-to-Head, Nigeria's Tomunosoye Karibi-George took Top Model, Zambia's Adah Mushibi won Multimedia, and Eritrea's Snit Tewoldemedhin topped the People's Choice poll.
The Americas and Caribbean group has five women in. Puerto Rico's Suil Pagan qualified first as the overall Sports Challenge winner. Trinidad and Tobago's Georgia-Lee Gill won Head-to-Head, the Dominican Republic's Joheirry Mola took Top Model, French Guiana's Audrey Ho-Wen-Tsai won Multimedia, and Canada's Angelina Fan topped People's Choice.
How will the rest of the Top 40 be decided?
The remaining slots in each continental Top 10 will be filled by judges' choices. The continental winners of the Beauty with a Purpose challenge, where Simpson is also a finalist, will also advance. The full Top 40 will be announced at the final show on Saturday evening, Sept. 5, at April 2 Square in Nha Trang. The ceremonies will stream on the pageant's dedicated platform.
Can Simpson bring home the blue crown?
Simpson is aiming to succeed reigning queen Opal Suchata Chuangsri and become only the second Filipino to win Miss World. Megan Young was the first back in 2013, taking the crown in Indonesia. Last year's delegate, Krishna Gravidez, finished in the Top 2 for Asia and Oceania and was crowned Miss World Asia.
Beyond her Head-to-Head win, Simpson placed third in the Talent Challenge, reached the Top 23 in the Sport Challenge, and made the Top 60 in Top Model. She is also in the running for Beauty with a Purpose.
The road to the blue crown runs through Vietnam, and Simpson has already shown she can compete on every stage. Now it comes down to the final night.
