Lopez video proves prosecution needs her as witness, says Barbers
MANILA, Philippines — The decision of Vice President Sara Duterte's lawyers to play a video clip of Undersecretary Zuleika Lopez from November 2024 has only strengthened the case for calling her to the witness stand, according to prosecution adviser and spokesperson Robert Ace Barbers.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday, Barbers said the clip, which shows Lopez crying and criticizing the House of Representatives, directly relates to Article IV of the Articles of Impeachment. The defense used the video to counter grave threat allegations against Duterte.
